Digital privacy is a new concern that people need to watch out for because of how advanced technology is and how advanced it is going to keep getting. There is so many technological advances that can mess up your life because once one thing is on the internet it is never going to be off. I have had social media for most of my life and my parents have always been really big on what you post and to be careful because it can ruin so many opportunities that can come up in your life. For example, I am a Division 1 athlete and if my parents would have not cared and let me post anything that I want there would have been a chance that I would have not been granted a spot on the team. Going through the recruiting process is not just about how you are as an athlete they are looking at you as a person and how other people would see you because they want people who will represent the school well.

I think that the algorithm is both positive and negative because there is so many things that you can control now these days that you can prevent something from happening in the future. It helps because of all the bad things on the internet from progressing to be worse, but at the same time there are kids that make mistakes and it can potentially mess up their entire lives all because of one mistake that they made when they were younger.
